Charles Moore Of Mays Dies
Charles Moore, 83, of Mays died at 7:25 p.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis, where he was admitted January 31. He had been in failing health for several months.
A retired farmer, Mr. Moore had resided in the Mays community since 1952 and was a member of the Straughn Brotherhood and Sisterhood.
He was born in Richland Township on October 11, 1887, the son of Frank C. and Lida Hedrick Moore, and was married March 14, 1914, to Lela French, who survives.
Surviving with the widow are a son, Paul C. Moore of Greenwood; a brother, George E. (Pete) Moore of Clarksburg; a sister, Mrs. John (Susan) Pohlman of Clarksburg, and three grandchildren. Eight brothers and sisters preceded him in death.
The Rev. Ralph Byers will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Moster and Sons Mortuary, where friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
