John Melville Bondurant died yesterday at the home of R. A. Bondurant at the corner of Broadway and Franklin Road, South Roanoke. He was 70 years old. His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Susan Bondurant, and the following children: Mrs. E. M. Higgingbotham of Schuyler, Mrs. F. H. Teel of Princeton, W. Va.; R. A. Bondurant and B. F. Bondurant, all of Roanoke; G. T. Bondurant of Figsboro< Va., R. O. Bondurant of Martinsville; J. C. Bondurant of Martinsville; J. C. Bondurant of Bluefield, W. Va. and J. M. Bondurant of Princeton, W. Va.
He is also survived by forty grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Bondurant was a native of Franklin County, and was a Confederate Veteran.
He had lived in Roanoke about five months.
Funeral services will be held at the home of R. A. Bondurant this afternoon.
Burial will follow in Evergreen.
