Geraldine "Jerri" Nachreiner, 78, formerly of 2840 Hickory Drive, Plover, died Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at the Weyauwega Health Care Center in Weyauwega. A committal memorial service will be held at a later date in the Calvary Cemetery in Menomonie.Shuda Family Funeral Services of Plover and Stevens Point assisted the family. Ms. Nachreiner was born Nov. 19, 1928, in Berwyn, Ill., a daughter of the late Silas and Hilda (Madsen) Nachreiner. She attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. She later worked as a journalist for the Chippewa Herald Telegram in Chippewa Falls.
She was married to Juane Schultz in 1947. The couple divorced in 1969. She was married to Gerald Ferguson in 1973. He died in 1975. Survivors include one son, Stephen (Charlotte) Schultz, Wild Rose; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Lasecke.
