Stanley Boggess

Sidell, Ill. - Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown, Ill., for Stanley Boggess, 80, of Sidell Route 1. He died at 7:20 a.m. Sunday (Sept. 19, 1982) in the Americana nursing home in Danville. He had been a patient several months.
The Rev. Charles Pearman will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Indianola. Friednds will be received from 5 -8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A life resdient of the area, he had worked over 20 years as a PAG seed corn dealer.
Born Sept. 23, 1901, in Indianola, he was the son of Thomas Calvin and Grace Bostwick Boggess. He married Gladyne Lancaster Feb. 6, 1928. She died in 1971.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Alberta) Almy Sr. of Cayuga, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Fellers of Redman, Ill.; two grandchildren, Robert Almy Jr. and Mrs. Don (Mary) Fisher, both of Georgetown.
