Mollie Mae Cornwell Wright, age 84 of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2004.
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and preceded in death by husband, Marion M. ''Papaw'' Wright; daughter, Willa Mae Wright; great-grandchildren, Alisha Walker and Jacob Wright; parents, James and Maggie Cornwell and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Mary Wright of Friendsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Charlie Walker of Rockford, Linda and Herman Hearon of Maryville, Kathy and Patrick Jenkins of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2004 at Miller Funeral Home Magnolia Chapel, Rev. Clifton Hearon and Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Big Creek Cemetery in Monroe County for the interment service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund, 910 Walker School Road, Maryville TN. 37803 or to Laurel Bank Baptist Church, 211 County Farm Road, Friendsville TN. 37737.
