He was a graduate of St. Raymond grade school and Joliet Catholic High School; David is a World War II Marine Corps Veteran.
Upon his return from the war, he graduated from Loyola University and worked as an accountant for various firms as well as independently. While semi-retired, David enjoyed delivering flowers in Chicago and Evanston.
He was the devoted husband of Lorraine A'Hearn (nee Georgantas); the loving father of 4 sons: David (Darlene), E. Patrick (Cathy), Michael, & Dan (Kara) A'Hearn, and 2 daughters: Margaret (late, Kenneth) Floyd, & Kathleen (Jerry) Novak. Also surviving are his brother Bill A'Hearn. Proud grandfather of Kevin, Kyle, Brian, Ryan, Tricia, Mikey, Alexandra, Wesley, Elise, and brother Joseph A'Hearn, and Tamara (Oscar) Martinez, A.J. (Kara) and Danny Orosco, Matt (Lori), Alyssa, Katie, Rachel and Anna Novak. Fond Great-Grandfather of Isabella & Josephine Martinez, Sydney & Abby Novak, and Braelyn Orosco; beloved Uncle of the Murrays, Brewsters, Meyerings, Jones, A'Hearns, Georgantas, & Bicks. Also survived by his Marine buddy and dear friend of over 60 years, Jim Delaney of Needham, Massachusetts.
