Elderick has a interesting history that my cousin in Washington and I have spent much time on in trying to figure out. His mother was Alore Trombley/Tramblay born Feb 1859 in St. Joachim, Quebec, Canada. Her first husband was Cyprien Boudreau, he died in Kansas 1885. Alore moves with her family to Clark County, Washington and is seen married to Joseph Wein in the 1887 state census. That's when Elderick is born. By the 1900 census Elderick is going by the last name of Boudreau as Alore's older children from Cyprien. Between 1905 when he is listed in a Baker City, Oregon directory at the same address as his three older Boudro brothers, and the 1910 census, he changes his name to Bovant of some similar spelling. Why?
His mother Alore died Dec 10th, 1921 in Westminster, British Columbia. Not sure when Joseph Wein died. He was born in 1860 Kansas per the 1887 Washington state census. If anyone has any other information about the family, I would love to hear from you. [email protected].
