Mattie Carr
Funeral services for Mattie C. Carr of Shreveport will be held at 3:30 p.m. today in Minden Rose-Neath Chapel with Rev. Paul Cassels officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.
Mrs. Carr passed away April 30 in the Virginia Hall Nursing Home in Shreveport following a lengthy illness.
She was 84.
A native of Liberty, Mississippi, Mrs. Carr had lived in Shreveport since 1945 and was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church of Shreveport.
She is survived by her husband, Tolbert M. Carr of Shreveport; one daughter, Jessie Price of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Effie Merritt of Sibley; one brother, Leonard C. Cage of Heflin; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
