Sadie Grant was born to Joseph Hyrum Grant (a son of Jedediah M. Grant) and Evaletta Eldredge. She was also a niece to LDS Church president Heber J. Grant.
Sadie was educated at the University of Utah, were she met her future husband, Frederick J. Pack. Grant and Pack married in November 25, 1896 and had four children: Eugene G., Alvin G. Marion, and Eleanor
On October 6, 1925, Sadie was selected as the first counselor to May Anderson in the general presidency of the Primary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as the first counselor until September 11, 1929.
