CHARLES JOHN JR. "CHUCK" - Age 80, of Fairview, Ml died Sunday, October 17, 2010. Chuck was born on September 26, 1930 in Concord, Ml. He married Betty Rice on March 4, 1950. He worked on farms, at Corning Glass, Albion, MI and Consumers Power Company in Jackson. He served in the U.S. Military from June 1952 to May 1953, worked construction and in an oil field in the Concord area. Surviving are his wife, Betty; two sons, Timothy John (Sonya) McPeck and Oscar Charles (Tina) McPeck, grandchildren, Micheal, William and Kelsey Faye; three stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Roe Williams of Montrey, TN; nephew, Joe Roe; brothers-in-law, James Lloyd (Evelyn) Rice and Robert (Lois) Rice, both of Jackson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Allen McPeck; brothers, Hubert (Dutch) and Clinton McPeck; sisters, Sylvia Williams and Audrey Melling. Visitation 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio and on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairview Mennonite Church, Fairview, MI.
