Jasper Newton Boice, born 5 June 1863, Limestone Hill, Wirt Co., WV, was the 8th child of Samuel and Rachel (Province) Boice. He married Eunice Ann Mills, who was born 21 April 1866 in Monroe County, OH, the daughter of John W. and Mary (Cline) Mills. Soon after his marriage and the birth of their first child, they left Mercer Co., Ohio, and moved to near Portland, Oregon. Wirt Co., WV. After two years they returned to Wirt County, purchasing a farm on Tucker Creek, where he prospered as a farmer and merchant. Jasper and Eunice were parents of eleven children: Albert (h/o Orla Wilson); Sarah Margaret (1887-1889); Eva Ellen (w/o Albert Walter Greiner); Mary Jane (w/o Leon Fox); Agnes Leona (w/o Marvin Davis (no children); Rosie Ethel (w/o Wayne Conklin); Earnest Jasper "Jack" (h/o Cella Ireland); Clarence Everett (1902-1919); Okey Glenn (h/o (1932) Helen Henry and h/o (1951) Mrs. Helen Grimm); Charles Wesley (h/o Evelyn Fleming); and Thesia Iris (w/o Emmett Lockhart) - BOICE.
