Dortha L. Durbin, 79, of Raytown, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, peacefully with her family by her side. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 from 6-8 p.m., at Floral Hills Chapel. Funeral service will be held in Mt. Pleasant Texas with burial at Gladewater Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Dortha was born Feb. 3, 1931, to Eugene and Sybil Parsons Brownlee in Electra, Texas. She was a member of the Church Of Christ and Co-Owner of Durbin AAA Tree Service with her son, Doug Durbin. Dortha was able to complete her life-long dream of being a portrait artist. She is survived by her children: Cynthia L. Renick, Deborah K. Durbin- Turner and husband Michael, Barbara L. Bates and husband John, and Douglas W. Durbin and wife Rose; 2 sisters, Sallie Day-Mogerman and husband Donald, and Joyce Faith; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
