Denmark - Samuel Edward Baxter, 82, died Tuesday at an Orangeburg hospital. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Denmark Cemetery directed by Small Funeral Home. Mr. Baxter was born Aug. 3, 1888, in Denmark, a son of the late J. D. and Virginia Walker Baxter. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired farmer. Surviving are: one son, Shirley Edward Baxter of Denmark; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. © The News and Courier, Charleston, SC, 28 Oct 1970
