His first name is, Alexander and he was mustered in on May 2, 1864 at Camp Chase, Ohio and mustered out on Aug. 25, 1864. The regiment served for 100 days and was assigned to garrison duty in Baltimore at Ft. McHenry, Fort Marshall and Federal Hill. It was originally the Ohio National Guard, 2nd and 12th regiment, from Montgomery County. This information is taken from:
