Bjarne ''Bud'' Aanes, 81, of Hibbing died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, in Heritage Manor Health Care Center, Chisholm. He was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Clairmont, Iowa, and graduated from Red Wing High School.
He moved to Hibbing in 1948 from Grand Rapids and had worked in the insurance industry with the Equitable and Minnesota Mutual Insurance Company. After his retirement from the insurance business, he was a salesman for both Clusiau Motors and Ranger Chevrolet. He married Betty Lunka in 1975 and was a member of First Lutheran Church.
Bjarme is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters: Nancy Aanes Gooding, and Ann Aanes Tellor; stepson, Gary J. Gustafson; brother, Donald Kloster; sister, Eileen Savold; grandchildren: Matthew Gooding, Amy Tellor, Jennifer Hammond and Katie Tellor; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a grandson Michael Gooding.
