Born August 10, 1927 in Elmo, the son of the late Henry Hamilton and Ruth Colvin McIntyre. Kenneth was a graduate of Elmo High School.
On October 16, 1948 he was united in marriage to Barbara June Neff in Clarinda, Iowa.
Kenneth was a lifelong farmer in the Elmo area, a member of the Elmo Methodist Church. He was veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the James Edward Gray American Legion Post 100, Maryville, MO.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons, John Henry and Larry Wayne McIntyre and a brother Donald.
Kenneth was a beloved husband of 62 years and loving father.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara McIntyre, daughters Joyce (Jim) Smith and Irma Copeland all of Maryville, MO, Dee Dee (Les) Linville, Skidmore, MO and Dr. Carol McIntyre, Council Bluffs, IA; and a son George McIntyre, Kimballton, IA; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Mr. McIntyre's body has been cremated. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Tuesday, October 19 at the Price Funeral Home, Maryville. Inurment will be in High Prairie Cemetery, Elmo, MO. Memorial: Disabled American Veterans. Open visitation will be at the funeral home where friends may call at anytime.
