DOUGHTY. In this town, May 22d, of Diphtheria, Alfred, son of J. A. and Esther I. Doughty. Also on the 27th of the same disease, daughter Ettie, aged 4 years.
Alone unto our Father's will
One thought has reconciled,
That He, whose love exceedeth ours
Hath taken home his child.
Fold them, oh Father, in thine armes,
And let them henceforth be
Sweet messengers of love between
Our human hearts and Thee.
