Edward R. Hutchison, 84, formally of Hilliards and of North Washington, died at 3;20 a.m. Saturday at the Sunnyview Home in Butler.
Born May 7,1917, in Clairon County, he was the son of Frank and Rebecca Myers Hutchison.He was a retired plant superintendent at the Mercer Lime and Stone Co.
A member of the Hilliards United Methodist Church, Mr. Hutchison was a veteran of the Navy.
He was a member of Hilliards VFW Post 7840 and the West Sunbury American Legion. Before his health failed, he had been active in the horseshoe leagues.
His wife Verda Cook Hutchison whom he married Aug. 25,1940, died Sept. 9,2001.
Surviving are a son, Dale L. Hutchison of Butler, and two granddaughters.
A son, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
Friends of Edward R. Hutchison, who died Saturday Aug. 10,2002, will be received from noon to 3 and 7to9 p.m. Sunday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffery Miller, his grandnephew and pastor of North Street Christian Church officiating. Burial will be at Rosewood Cemetery in Ridgeville.
