Funeral services for Clarence L. Moore will be held in the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, 2 January, at 10 a.m., Rev. Carl Clay will officiate.
Mr. Moore was born at Bucklin, Missouri on June 21, 1891, and died December 30 at the Okfuskee Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was 73 years of age.
In 1905 Mr. Moore came to Indian Territory from Missouri and settled near Holdenville. He had been a resident of Okfuskee County since 1935, having farmed near Paden for several years. He had lived in Okemah the past three years.
He married Miss Mary G Alsup at Holdenville, Oklahoma on December 25, 1910. She preceded him in death in 1958.
Surviving Mr. Moore are four sons - Lee of Borger, Texas; Lester of Huntsville, Texas; Lowell of Wewoka, Oklahoma; and Lindell of Midwest City, Oklahoma – three daughters – Mrs. Lenore Acre, Bethany, Oklahoma; Mrs. Lorene Groves of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Mrs. Lois Tyra of Big Spring, Texas – one brother, Floyd Moore of Wewoka, Oklahoma; 21 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Burial will be in the Paden Cemetery under the direction of the Parks Funeral Home.
