FOSTER

Theodore Junior Foster, son of Aura Theodore Foster and Lila Bernice Hall Foster, was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Lucas County. He passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, 1988, at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 62. He attended the Zion school.

From 1942-1945 he served in World War II with the United States Navy. On May 10, 1945, he was united in marriage to Betty Etter, and to this marriage two daughters were born, Connie and Barbara.

Throughout his life Ted gave of himself, serving others and helping family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Lila Foster.

He is survived by the two daughters, Connie Larrington and her husband Roger, and Barbara Rich and her husband Albert, all of Chariton; six grandchildren; one brother, Leo of Chariton; and four sisters, Virginia McDonald and Betty Jeffords, both of Des Moines; Phyllis Kennedy of Chula Vista, Calif.; and Lola Weeks of Firestone, Colo.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, 1988, at the Fielding Funeral Home, with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Richard Hamilton, Duane Duckworth, Wyatt McDonald, Dave Feisel, Tim Jeffords, Bruce Sellers. Honorary bearers were Steve Foster and Wayne Schmidt.

Military services at Zion Cemetery were by the Carl L. Caviness Post # 102.
