George Pierce
RUSSELLVILLE -- George Washington Pierce, 82, Rt. 6, Russellville, died today at
4:30 a.m. at his residence.
He was a native of Morgan County, a member of the Baptist Church, a retired
farmer, a member of Mt. Hope Odd Fellows Lodge No. 300.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church
with Cecil Hodge officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Spry of
Russellville directing.
Survivors include the widow, Emma Pierce; four daughters, Mrs. Erwin Morgan,
Phil Campbell, Mrs. Vernon Davidson, Phil Campbell, Mrs. J.D. Hardy, Mrs. R.A.
Gann, both of Russellville; six sons, Elmer Pierce,Chicago, Ill., Mack and Homer
Pierce, both of Russellville, Paul Pierce, Phil Campbell, Guy Rice, Decatur and
Virgil Rice, Phil Campbell; a brother, John Pierce, Phil Campbell; 34
grandchildren.
