At his home in Ashland township, near Dodge Centre, Minn., Sunday, Jan. 28, 1900, of typhoid fever, Rollin Hewitt Babcock, aged 85 years, 9 months and 6 days.

Bro. Babcock was born just outside of the corporation limits of the village, and has spent his whole life here. In March 1876, he was baptize and united with the Seventh-day Baptist church and for a number of years has been one of its strong supporters. He was married, Oct. 6, 1886, to Miss Jennie S. Langworthy, who with their two children, Zalia and Lucile, are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and loving father. He also leaves two sisters, Miss Flora I. Babcock, of North St. Paul, and Mrs. Floyd Brown Wells of Casselton, North Dakota, and one brother, Fred G., of Waseca, all of whom were present at the funeral. Services were held in the Seventh-day Baptist church on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 30, conducted by the pastor., assisted by Rev. Ernst.
