Born on Sept. 7, 1913, she was the daughter of Alex and Rebecca Armer. Lovie was a homemaker and a member of Union Baptist Church for 52 years, where she served as Sunday School secretary and was a member of the choir.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Epps Brown; and two sisters, Gladys and Ruby Armer.
