Plymouth Review – May 30, 1900

Dies of scarlet fever. Hulda, the ten year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Steinhardt living on Western Avenue, died about 6 o'clock Monday evening after an illness of but a little over two days duration, with scarlet fever. She attended school all last week but was taken suddenly ill on Saturday, and from then until her death, grew rapidly worse. The funeral was held at ten o'clock this forenoon, Rev. Proehl of the Lutheran church conducting the services and burial was made in the city cemetery.

Besides her parents, she leaves two sisters, Mrs. William Miller and Miss Tillie Steinhardt, also four brothers, Reinhold, Paul, Adolph, and Ferdinand, all at home.
