Frank Blake, 82, died at the Bellevue Nursing home in Waterman Tuesday evening, September 9, 1952, shortly before 10 o’clock. He had been taken to the home last Saturday for care.

Mr. Blake has been in poor health for several years. In February 1951 he suffered a stroke but not until a week ago Tuesday did his condition become critical. Death came from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Blake was born June 23, 1870. A complete obituary will be given next week.

Funeral services will be held Friday from the Nash Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Nash Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and evening. HR 9/11/1952

Frank Ives Blake, son of Amherst Blake and Evelyn Mason Blake, was born at Tiskilwa, IL, June 23, 1870, and went to rest at Waterman, IL, September 9, 1952, at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 16 days.

Mr. Blake was twice married, his first wife being Charlotte Acker who died December 18, 1907. A short time later he came to Hinckley following his trade as harness maker, which business he conducted here for many years.

Here he met Sophie Ziegler, whom he married February 20, 1917. She survives him, also three daughters by the former marriage; Mrs. Cheryl Miller of Kewanee, Mrs. Marcia Gierke of Chicago, and Mrs. Margaret Phelps of Detroit, MI; five grandchildren, and one brother, Edward Blake of Elk Rapids, MI.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 12 from the Nash Funeral Home, the Rev. L. G. Weber officiating. Interment was in East Pierce Cemetery.
