Joseph first married Catherine M Schmitt June 30 1908. They had seven children.
After Catherine died he then married Elizabeth M Schmidt June 15 1922. They had three children.
NOTE**Catherine was the younger sister of Elizabeth. Spelling of last name Schmitt was permanently changed by the children to Schmidt in early 1920's.
