Funeral services for Kenneth Ray Deatherage of Ada, OK will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada, OK. Interment will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery in Roff, OK. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Patton. Mr. Deatherage died Friday, October 15, 2010 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 79. He was born September 24, 1931 in Pontotoc County to William McKinley Deatherage and Sara Berger Deatherage. He married Delpha "Jo" Joan Adams on November 8, 1954 in Guthrie, OK. Mr. Deatherage had attended Wilson School and he was a member of the Wilson Free Will Baptist Church. He worked for Evergreen Feed Mill for 41 years as a feed mix operator. He loved his dogs and cats and especially over feeding them. He also loved coon hunting. Mr. Deatherage is survived by one son, Dennis Ray Sutton and his wife JoAnn of Ada; one daughter, Carli Mantzke and her husband Mitch Dildine of Ada; two grandchildren, Ashley Fennell and Sydney Mantzke; two great-grandchildren, Chevy Todd and Emma Holland; one aunt Mandy McDonald and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sara Deatherage; one son George Deatherage; one grandson, Michael Mantzke; one brother; and three sisters. Pallbearers: Nathan Brundidge, Josh Sutton, Ryan Richardson, J.B. Bolin, Larry Talley, and Michael Gold. Under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home - Ada, OK
