Mr. Cannon was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 566 and the Forty & Eight. He was retired from The University of Texas.
Preceded in death by wife, Burndetta and daughter, Pearl, he is survived by daughters, Sandra Thorpe, Charlotte Kelsey, Barbara Rose, Frances Donahue, Dianne Cannon, Joanne Powers and Pam New; sons, Dale Cannon, Jr., Harold Cannon, Carl Cannon, Harry Cannon, James Dull and Kenneth Cannon; lifelong friend, Wanda Dull and family; 38 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside military services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
