Mr. Murin, standing on the runningboard of the city truck driven by John Geffert, was thrown to the street when the vehicle sideswiped another truck driven by Rees Lloyd of East Chicago,
His death, Friday, a few days after the accident, was recorded as the first traffic fatality in Whiting since March, 8, 1947.
Survivors are his widow, Sophie, four sons, Michael and August of Whiting, Andrew Jr. and Joseph: three daughters, Mrs. Frank Lovyry(LaVieri), Mrs. William Koffl and Mrs. Henry Stock, 12 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
