Mae Jones Payne, my Aunt, was the 2nd Great Grandaughter of James B Jones and Elizabeth Sims(Simms)who were married in 1835 in Liberty County GA. They lived in Bryan County in 1850 and moved to Wayne County GA in the mid to late 1850's. Evidence of this can be found in the 1850 Bryan County census and the 1860 Wayne County census. As of yet I have not found the parents of James B Jones.
