Funeral services for Edith Katherine Breding. 88, will be conducted Saturday, December 11 at 11:00 a.m. at St.John's Lutheran Church in American Falls with the Rev. Donald Scheuker officiating. Mrs. Breding died Tuesday at the Power County Hospital following an extended illness. She was born August 20, 1889 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Claus F. and Katherine Beck Eggers. She married Hardy Breding Oct 27 1909 in Pendleton, Oregon. They came to Idaho in 1912 and homesteaded in Pleasant Valley.
they farmed until 1947, when they moved to American Falls.
Mrs. Breding was a life long member of the Lutheran Church. She had taught Sunday School in her youth. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and needlework.
Surviving her are one son, Gilbert Breding, American Falls; Two daughters, Mrs. Myron (Margaret) Henrich and Mrs. Allbert (Dorothy) Burgemeister, American Falls; one sister in law, Mrs. Merle Eggers, American Falls; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her husband and one son, Harold, proceeded her in death.
Casket bearers for the service will be grandsons of the deceased; flower girls will be granddaughters. Music will be furnished by a male quartet composed of Kenneth Burgemeister, Louie Burgemeister, Arthur Adolf and Clarence Gohl. Organist will be Elisabeth Adolf.
Burial will be in Falls View Cemetery, American Falls, Power Co., Idaho.
