Fern Lucile Morwood Glassmire and married "Toodles" Charles Glassmire and never had any children of their own. Fern was a fine school teacher for 39 years and loved books. She wrote history books of her own, about Mulberry, Missouri and the area she was raised. She lived in Homer Township of Bates County most of her life and lived in and near Amoret all of her married life.

Author and Historian of Amoret and Mulberry. "Ghost Towns of Bates County" and "Mulberry History". Further she was the primary author and resource of collection of data and family histories for book: "Reflections 1885-1985" by Amoret Historical Society.
