It is extremely likely that Maud passed away in the house fire that consumed her mother, Katie Collins. Perhaps Katie went back in the house to rescue Maud, who was not able to get out of the house as did her brothers: Emmett Marion Bell and Virgil W. Bell. There was another son, known as "Infant Son Bell", about which little is known. Infant Son Bell could have also been alive at the time of the fire and also died.
