Edna Louise Meriweather, 77, of Mabelvale, passed away Saturday at the Arkansas Heart Hospital. She was born August 25, 1930, to the late Avis Jones Loux and Howard Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Edward Meriweather; son, Jimmy Meriweather; and brother, James E. Jones. She is survived by her brother, Arthur Lee Jones (Marie) Arlington, Texas; sister, Shirley Freyaldenhoven (Dan) Conway; her sons, Dale Meriweather (Dianne), and Danny Meriweather (Laura) and daughters, Linda Maurer (Bill) and Judy Hughes (James); six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family gives special thanks to the nurses at the Arkansas Heart Hospital, and her special caregivers, Sheila and Brenda. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, (501)224-8300, with the Rev. George Yarberry officiating.
