John Harvey Dockery is my great great grandfather born in Tennessee about 1825, moved to Choctaw county when he was 10 with family and began farming somewhere around Byway road.
He enlisted in the confederate states army and served in the 18th infantry of Mississippi, was wounded at Fredericksburg, Va. 1862 and was with his regiment at the surrender at Appomattox, Va.
I have his death in 1901. I have a document of request for pension from Mississippi dated 11 August 1900.
