Funeral Services for Miss Katherine M Lauters, 54, 1021 W Wells St., Milwuakee, a former resident of Port Washington, were held at 9 a.m., Tuesday at Gesu Catholic church in Milwaukee, with burial at the Holy Cross Cemetery, town of Fredonia.
Miss Lauters was born in Port Washington, but at an early age moved to Milwaukee. Years ago she owned and operated the old Chateau Country Club on Highway 57 which burned to the ground in 1941. For the past eight years she operated the 1021 Steak House and Bar in Milwaukee.
She died of a heart attack Saturday morning at the Milwaukee County Emergency hospital. There are no immediate survivors.
