Mrs. Magnus (Gunda) Hegvick of Binford died September 8 in the McVille Hospital. Funeral services were held in West Prairie Lutheran Church Wednesday, with Rev. Marcus Tufteland officiating.
Gunda Marie Hanstad was born May 15, 1885 in Norway and came to the United States in 1905, settling in the Binford community.
She was married to Mr. Hegvick in Griggs County, November 26, 1907. She was a member of the West Prairie Lutheran Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Margrit) Arlien and Mrs. Raliegh (Molfried) Anderson, both of Pekin, and Mrs. Alfred (Helga) Holm of Ft. Ransom, N. Dak.; three sons, George of Fargo, Louis of Pekin and Jarl of Binford;
A brother, Hans Hanstad of Binford; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Madsven of Valley City and Mrs. Anton Paulsrud of Nielsville, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
