He was born on January 1, 1901 at West Lima to Elmer and Etta (Leatherberry) Potts. He was married on December 25, 1933 to Ina Mitchell. He was a veteran of WWI and he farmed all his life in the town of Bloom in Richland Co.
Survivors include his wife, Ina; a son, Von; and two sisters, Mrs. Winnie Williams and Mrs. Beulah Good all of West Lima.
Funeral services w ill be held on Saturday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. at United Methodist Church in West Lima. Rev. Norman Barthel will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-9 p.m . on Friday at Picha's Funeral Home, Hillsboro and on Saturday at the Church from noon until the time of service.
