Edmund enlisted in Company A of the Reorganized Fourth Michigan Infantry on August 29, 1864, at Moscow, Michigan, for 3 years, at age 19. He mustered out of service on May 26, 1866, at Houston, Texas. My records indicate that he died on June 22, 1928, in Hillsdale, Michigan. I also show a date of birth of June 30, 1844, which does not match the 1845 date of birth given on his headstone. (info from 4th Mich Infantry)
