Brian, 54, of Lansing, passed away at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

Brian was a gentle, easygoing and gregarious man who retained a wry sense of humor to the end of his life. A gifted athlete who excelled at golf but had put away his clubs by the time he retired from GM in 2006, after 30 years of service, continued to enjoy games of all sorts. He enjoyed playing cards on Roger's Bus with his close circle of friends, many of whom he had known since childhood. Brian was fond of animals, especially cats, and hated mayonnaise and yard work.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert.

Brian loved his family and is survived by his devoted son, Ryan (Kacey); loving mother, Lois; sister, Rita; brothers, Ralph (Veronica) and Glenn (Brenda); granddaughter, Kayla; ex-wife and friend, Renee; nephews, James and Alex; and many other relatives and friends.

There was a a brief service at the Funeral home on Monday.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, in memory of Brian.
