Ednad Cunningham Hughes, 74, of Waterloo, died at home Tuesday, October 12 of natural causes.
She was born January 16, 1936 in Waterloo, daughter of Edgar and Susie Cunningham Rockett. She married Robert O. Hughes on September 11, 1978. He died September 8, 1999.
Mrs. Hughes was a Waterloo landlord and tax preparer.
Survived by two daughters, Elzora (Randy) Robinson of Minnespolis, Minnesota, and Carla McDonald of Waterloo; one stepdaughter, Carlitha Darby; three sons, Edmond (Jane) Cunningham, Elliott McDonald, and Christopher McDonald, all of Waterloo; six stepsons, Bobby Hughes, Mark Hughes, Tony Hughes, Donnie Hughes, Greg Hughes, and Sam Harris; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Edgar C. Cunningham Jr. of Waterloo; and one sister, Ella Graves of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Preceded in death by one sister, Ethel Cunningham; and one brother, Dr. Walter Cunningham.
Services 1:00 p.m, Saturday at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, and for an hour before services Saturday, all at the church. Sanders Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
