Roy Chaney, 64, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at his home in Zanesville fter a serious illness of four weeks with heart trouble. He had been in failing health for several weeks. Mr. Chaney was born January 17, 1878, in Jackson township to Elias and Martha Chaney and was married to Minnie Hamilton.
Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Harshman, Fort Wayne and Mrs. Hilda Kreigh, Zanesville, three grandhildren and two brothers, George of Zanesville and John of Pierceton.
The body was taken to the Koontz funeral home at Roanoke. It will be returned to the residence at 1 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at teh United Brethren church at Zanesville with the Rev. Frank Engle officiating. Interment will be a t Zanesville.
