Dorothy Ann Spence Baird Lacks, 86 of Brodnax, died Monday Oct. 11, 2010.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Wilkins Baird, Sr. of Brodnax; two brothers, Willie J. Spence and Clifton Spence both of Brodnax; three sisters, Mary King of Williamsburg, Barbara Gayle McElroy and Lucy Bracey both of Brodnax. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Lacks was preceded in death by her husbands, Rufus Baird and Walter David Scott Lacks, and a daughter, Bernice Ann Baird.
A funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday Oct. 14 at Farrar Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Canaan Cemetery.
