She was born the daughter of the late Charles Arthur Phillips and Hester Althea Cowart Phillips, on February 19, 1923 in Versailles, Missouri and died September 6, 2010 in West Plains, MO.
She was united in marriage July 31, 1938 in Tecumseh, Missouri to Theodore Roosevelt Shipley who preceed her in death June 10, 2004.
She is survived by three children, Delores Jean Barlow and husband Ronald of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Jim Shipley and wife Polly of Stockton, Missouri, and Tom Shipley and wife Phillis of Dora, Missouri; one brother Norman Phillips of Springfield, Missouri; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one son, Larry Dale Shipley.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Needmore Church of God near Dora, Missouri. She was a mother, grandmother great grandmother and will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Memorial contributions made be made to the Ball Cemetery or to the DAV and left at the funeral home. Family visitation will be 6-8pm Thursday Burial will be in Ball Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
