Mr. H. B. Eanes died at his home at Mt. Valley Sunday morning. Death was due to the infirmities of old age, he having been in declining health for several months. He being in the neighborhood of eighty years of age. Mr. Eanes was highly esteemed by all who knew him and was a Confederate soldier, his death being a severe shock to his many friends and relatives. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nannie A. Eanes, and several sons and daughters, among them being Mr. J. M. Eanes of Martinsville, S. M., P. L. and H. C. of Mt. Valley.
