Emily Coker, age 38 of Rome died Friday afternoon, November 30, 2001 of a brain tumor. Emily was born Feb. 13, 1968 in Commerce GA to Phyllis Ann Evans Hill and Ralph Allen Hill. She graduated from Commerce High and attended Shorter College in Rome. For 10 years she was branch manager of West Rome Home Federal Savings and Loan. For three years she was administrative assistant at the Rome Christian Counseling Center. Surviving is her husband Hoyt Coker Jr. a son Christopher Ryan Coker, her mother and stepfather Phyllis and Bill Jones of Commerce; her father Ralph Hill of Commerce, grandmothers Maryleen Evans and Mozelle Hill both of Commerce.
