Broken Hip Fatal to Samuel Edging, 86, Resident of Camden Walton, Feb. 24 — A broken hip, sustained in a fall at Camden Saturday, February 18, proved fatal to Samuel Luther Edging, 85, lifelong resident of the Camden community. His death occurred Friday morning at 11 o'clock at Memorial hospital, Logansport. A native of Carroll county, he was born February 21, 1864. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Rockfield Christian church. Survivors are the wife, the former Nancy E. Little; four sons and two daughters; Joy, Jay, Dewey and Dallas, all of Camden; Mrs. Gladys Van Fossen and Mrs. Jean Shockley, Indianapolis; fourteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren;three brothers and a sister; Harley, Oliver and Lawrence, all of Rockfield; Mrs. Pearl Aaron, Flora. One daughter, Mrs.Helen Bush, preceded him in death. The body was taken to the Wolf Funeral Home, Walton, Final rites will be Sunday at 2 o'clock at the Camden Methodist church. Rev. William Hixon of the Rockfield Christian church will officiate. Burial will be in the Camden cemetery.
