George Bolender was a son of Joh. Adam Bolender, Jr. and his first wife Mary Magdalena Morr. He moved From Pennsylvania to Stark County, Ohio as a young man and married Mary Margaret Wise on June 1, 1818. After her death he married Mary Ann, widow of Samuel Weary, in 1845 but they seperated in 1851.
He was a carpenter, cabinetmaker and farmer. He also operated a hotel and a stagecoach line in Uniontown.
