Mr. Mitchell Riggs, 56, of Caruthersville, died Monday, October 4, 2010.
He was born February 5, 1954 in Flint, MI to Cecil S. Riggs and Juanita Autry Riggs.
January 5, 1974, he was united in marriage to Konda Riney.
Mitchell was a lifetime resident of the Bootheel area. He was a construction foreman for Forcum-Lannon Construction Company in Dyersburg, TN. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Preceding Mitchell in death were his parents, Cecil and Juanita Riggs and a sister, JoAnn McGraw.
Mitchell is survived by his children, Jason Riggs and his wife Becky of Chauvin, LA, Leslie Riggs and his wife Heather of Caruthersville and Dustin Riggs and his wife Brandi of Caruthersville; two brothers,Joey Riggs and Gary Riggs, both of Caruthersville; a sister, Anita Cain of Caruthersville; and five grandchildren and a multitude of other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers for Mr. Riggs were Chris Riggs, Adam Riggs, Kevin Riggs, Josh Riggs, Austin Riggs, Trey Cain, Charlie Riney and Tracy Riney.
Funeral Services were held Thursday, October 7, 2010 in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Pilcher and Roy V. Edwards officiating. Burial was held in the Maple Cemetery in Caruthersville.
H.S. Smith Funeral Home in Caruthersville was in charge of the services.
