Memorial services were held for Muriel Warne Fields at St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Thursday, Jan. 3. She died Dec. 31 at Overlook Hospital at the age of 72.

She was born in Yonkers, N.Y. She lived in Chatham for the past 48 years. She was secretary to the head librarian at Madison Public Library from 1961-1963 and prior to that she was a legal secretary for Texaco, in Manhattan, N. Y. from 1935-37. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1934.

She was a member of the N. J. Wellesley Club and a member of the Chatham Historical Society, St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a former treasurer of the Altar Guild from 1954-1970.

She is survived by a son, Frederick S. of San Francisco, Cal.; two brothers, Charles C. Warne of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Frederick K. Warne of Richmond, Va.; and a sister, Mrs. Helena Lieb of Green Valley, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Arrangements were by William A. Bradley & Son Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Chatham.
